Please take special care when buying wheels. We find that many wheel dealers will try to sell you a 45 or 48 offset Toyota specification 5x100 wheel. We get three or four calls per month about what to do when tires rub the fender once unsuspecting customers have installed their bargain wheels. Measure twice, cut once!. Our wheels fit! 53mm offset for 7 wide or 48 for 7.5 wide, very important issue.

SPD Tuning Service sells Speedline (Italy) and OZ wheels. They are very strong, solid road wheels and have style. Each wheel is low pressure cast, heat treated and inspected. Unlike the very light wheels now popular, these stay round! You will bend suspension first! I know, first hand. In 87,000 miles the SPD Impreza has replaced one bent front control arm, one bent rear hub, one bent rear control arm long bolt. My six year old 17x7 Speedline wheels have considerable road rash, but are still being raced on, and the are still round. What else is there to say.

We sell Toyo Proxes T1-s tires. Best all around performance tire. 280 treadware rating, excellent wet and dry performance. Very soft break character. Fairly quiet, especially if you rotate tires every oil change. I could run on Pirelli PZero Assemetrico. Still a very quick tire, but it is hard, noisy and has a quick break. Yet, I love them. Honest tire that does exactly what it is made to do - run very quickly on dry roads. Very effective high track temperature tire when on the last 30% of tread. I could run on Bridgestone S-03. Quicker around the track than the Toyo T1-s by just a fraction of a second per minute. But, the reason is its much softer compound and much higher wear rate. This makes the Toyo a much better value due to the higher expected life in normal use. I could go on about other very good tires, but my point is we find the Toyo Proxes T-1s to be an easy choice for its many strengths.
