 | | Well, we finally got some respect from the Japanese auto industry. They
are giving us one of the great cars of the modern era. Great performance, great
design AND great price. SPD Tuning Service was founded to inform US car buyers
of how great the Impreza could be. Then we got the RS. The ground swell of enthusiasm
for this 165hp car gave Subaru the confidence to introduce the WRX to North
America. Now the have shown their gratitude by facing some interesting engine
design limitations previously discussed on the SPD Tuning web site. I personally
was hoping they dusted off the STI 22b 2.2 liter engine. Subaru as gone one
better by introducing the most potent STI version they make into the North
American market with a 2.5 liter engine.
The side bar choices will take you to discussions of different functional areas
of STI performance. They include a brief analysis of what you get plus comments
on what might be improved. There are a few solid recommendations as well as
suggestions on the limitations one should observe when paying out cash for what
someone has convinced you will be a faster car. |
