Starts life in 1993 as 1.8 AWD. Get suspension and bushing kit etc.1995. 

About 1997 - WRX hood and bumper, AWD w/WRX gearbox, still 1.8l, 110hp, but with very studley sounding exhaust. Scare Honda owners by letting them listen to me short shift, slowly from stop light. With a gray haired driver at the wheel, most take the bluff.

Doing the wiring for all important engine ECU. Do not worry about the mess on the passenger floor - tossed it.

Finished installation. Japanese motor, complete with Japanese dirt! Thanks to my friends Louie and Bill, who out of sympathy and/or admiration later detailed it with tooth brushes! Bone stock 1996 WRX engine. "STI version nothing."
